Overseas stone, mining, and infrastructure projects have a significant impact on the wear and tear of dump truck cargo boxes. Many customers only focus on the overall tonnage and appearance of the vehicle when purchasing a car, ignoring the issue of material compatibility for the cargo box bottom plate. The rapid thinning, pitting, deformation, cracking, and stuck unloading of the bottom plate have caused frequent maintenance and welding, seriously affecting the vehicle's attendance rate. Different stone materials have significant differences in hardness, edges, and weight. Only by selectively selecting the bottom plate material can we achieve wear resistance and durability, avoid wasting purchasing costs, and adapt to local working conditions for long-term operation.
Ordinary high-strength steel plates are the most cost-effective option for transporting ordinary sand and gravel and earthwork. For soft materials such as fine sand, soil, and mixtures, the materials have no sharp edges, low impact force, and uniform wear. The bottom plate of the cargo box can be made of conventional HG60 and HG70 high-strength steel plates to meet the needs of use. The material has good toughness, is not easily deformed, and has a lighter weight, which can effectively increase the loading capacity. This material is suitable for urban infrastructure and earthwork backfilling conditions, balancing durability and economy, without the need for excessive thickening or the selection of expensive wear-resistant plates.
Transportation of crushed stone and bluestone building materials, priority should be given to thickening high-strength wear-resistant boards. Ordinary gravel and bluestone have sharp edges, and long-term loading and unloading will continue to scratch the bottom plate, causing rapid wear and scratches on the surface of the board. It is recommended to use a thick and high-strength wear-resistant bottom plate for this type of working condition to enhance the scratch and compression resistance of the board surface. Compared to ordinary plates, wear-resistant steel plates have higher hardness and are less prone to local pitting and peeling, which can effectively extend the service life of cargo boxes and adapt to high-frequency transportation operations in small and medium-sized stone yards.
Granite, ore, and large hard stone materials must be equipped with professional high manganese wear-resistant plates. Granite, iron ore and other materials have extremely high hardness, heavy blocks, and huge impact force during loading and unloading. Ordinary bottom plates are easily dented and cracked by smashing. High manganese wear-resistant plates have the characteristics of high hardness, impact resistance, and rolling resistance. They are not easily deformed or cracked in the face of heavy impact from large stones, making them the optimal choice for heavy-duty mining conditions. Although the procurement cost is relatively high, it can significantly reduce the cost of later welding and board replacement maintenance, and has a higher cost-effectiveness in long-term operation.
Wet adhesive working conditions can be matched with anti slip and anti stick process materials. In rainy and humid areas overseas, clay and wet stone materials are prone to sticking to the board, resulting in unclean unloading and increased weight of residual materials. Smooth precision rolled plates can be selected on the basis of conventional wear-resistant base plates, combined with low resistance processes to reduce material adhesion, improve discharge speed, and avoid long-term accumulation of material that corrodes the plate surface.
