Many overseas customers may find that the same model is divided into domestic standard version and export version, and the difference in chassis rust prevention ability is significant. Most domestic vehicles are suitable for inland road conditions, while export heavy-duty trucks need to withstand salt spray from ocean shipping, high humidity along overseas coasts, and long-term erosion from mud and water in mining areas. To cross the long sea transportation and adapt to complex overseas environments, the entire anti-corrosion system of the exported vehicle model has been fully upgraded, which is also the core reason why it is less prone to rusting.
1, Higher coating process standards and multi-layer protective system
Most domestic basic versions use simplified spraying technology, and some frames are only painted on the surface, making it difficult to completely cover the inner cavity and weld dead corners of the frame. Export heavy-duty trucks come standard with a complete cathodic electrophoresis process, where beams, brackets, and welding seams are immersed in electrophoresis in all directions to form a dense primer, preventing steel from rusting from the inside. On this basis, intermediate anti rust paint and thickened wear-resistant topcoat are added, and some high salt spray orders are additionally sprayed with chassis armor. Multi layer coating overlay, greatly improves salt spray resistance and resists continuous erosion from seawater and moisture.
2, Material upgrade of exposed metal accessories
Ordinary domestic car models use a large number of ordinary black bolts, which will rust and die in a humid environment in a short period of time. Export customized car models, chassis exposed bolts, brackets, and connectors are generally treated with galvanizing, passivation, and rust prevention. At the same time, anti rust coating accessories are selected for the hydraulic piston rod and pipeline joints to reduce direct metal exposure, avoid rust and jamming during long-term outdoor operations, and reduce the difficulty of maintenance and disassembly on overseas construction sites.
3, Add exclusive rust prevention treatment for sea freight at the factory
Long distance shipping with large temperature differences and heavy salt spray on the sea surface makes it easy for ordinary vehicles to have rust spots even if they are painted properly. Before the export vehicle is loaded onto the ship, anti rust cavity wax will be sprayed on the chassis cavity, suspension, and chassis gaps to seal the metal micropores and form a hydrophobic protective film. This set of procedures is generally not equipped in domestic conventional car models, and is specifically designed to resist salt spray and condensation water in the cabin during cross ocean transportation.
4, Strengthen the sealing and moisture-proof design of the circuit system
Salt spray has conductivity, and corrosion of circuit plugs can directly cause circuit faults. Export heavy-duty truck electrical control connectors and sensor interfaces are equipped with waterproof sealing sheaths, and the wiring harness is wrapped with moisture-proof materials. The sealing standard of the domestic standard version is relatively low, and it is not a big problem in dry inland areas. However, in humid environments along the coasts of Southeast Asia and Africa, it is easy to cause plug oxidation and abnormal vehicle start-up.
5, Targeted reinforcement based on destination conditions
Differentiated customization is implemented for export vehicles: comprehensive anti-corrosion measures are strengthened for models sent to coastal and island areas; Key points for vehicle models in sandstorm mining areas are to ensure dust-proof sealing; Optimize drainage structure in high temperature and rainy areas. Domestic mass-produced models are manufactured according to general working conditions and will not be upgraded separately for humid and salt spray environments. They will be used in harsh overseas environments for a long time, resulting in faster corrosion rates.
