Constant speed and slow driving can help the tires smoothly compact the floating sand on the ground, maintain grip, and is the most secure way of passing. At the same time, try to choose existing rutted routes for driving. The old rutted sand has been repeatedly compacted to have higher hardness and is less prone to collapse.
2, It is strictly prohibited to stop, shift gears, or brake midway
Driving in sandy areas is most afraid of stopping halfway. Once the vehicle is parked on a soft road surface, the tires will slowly sink, making it easy to slip and spin when starting again. Try to maintain a constant speed while driving straight, without braking, shifting gears, or releasing the accelerator, and smoothly pass through sandy areas in one go. If deceleration is necessary, it is also necessary to complete the deceleration operation on a hard road surface in advance.
3, Slide and activate the differential lock in a timely manner to enhance the grip for getting out of trouble
When there is slight slippage on one side of the wheel, immediately open the differential lock at low speed and drive straight ahead, allowing the power of the left and right drive wheels to be synchronized and evenly distributed, avoiding deeper and deeper one-sided idling. Remember to straighten the vehicle body, open it at low speed straight ahead, prohibit turning, and lock it at high speed to prevent damage to the rear axle chassis. Sand rescue relies on balanced power output, rather than idling with high throttle.
4, Eliminate excessive throttle and violent operation
After the wheels get stuck in sand, the most incorrect operation is to continuously hit the oil with big feet. The sand itself has poor adhesion, and stepping on the accelerator forcefully will only quickly hollow out the sand and cause the tires to sink deeper. At the same time, it will severely wear out the tires, burn out the clutch, and even cause the chassis to completely collapse. Slight slippage only requires a small throttle to smoothly apply force and slowly drive out of the soft area.
5, Overloading should avoid pure soft sand as much as possible
Heavy duty dump trucks and fully loaded tractor trailers have extremely heavy weight and high ground pressure, making it easy to penetrate floating sand layers. Try to detour around unconsolidated soft sand in heavy load conditions, and prioritize hardened road surfaces and compacted rutted roads. If it is necessary to pass, it is recommended to pass empty to minimize the risk of getting stuck.
