Many overseas truck fleets have a common misconception in truck maintenance: they directly apply unified maintenance standards without distinguishing local road conditions, climate, and fuel differences. The driving environment varies greatly among different countries and regions, with conditions such as high-temperature rainforests, high-altitude plateaus, dusty mining areas, humid coastal areas, and low-quality oil products causing completely different parts of truck wear and tear and aging rates. A fixed maintenance plan can easily lead to problems such as "failure to maintain or excessive maintenance", resulting in frequent vehicle malfunctions and high maintenance costs. Flexibly adjusting maintenance strategies for overseas environments is the core of long-term cost reduction and stable attendance for the fleet. In high-temperature and rainy areas, the focus is on optimizing heat dissipation and anti-corrosion maintenance. Tropical and rainforest areas experience high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, making it easy for truck water tanks and intercoolers to accumulate dust and clog, resulting in high engine temperatures and power degradation. At the same time, humid environments can easily cause chassis corrosion, oxidation of electrical plugs, and circuit leakage. The maintenance in this area needs to shorten the water tank cleaning cycle, regularly check the working conditions of the cooling system, strengthen chassis rust removal protection, focus on inspecting the air and circuit seals to prevent moisture aging and reduce the probability of electrical failures. In high-altitude and low-temperature areas, emphasis is placed on air path antifreeze and rubber component maintenance. In high-altitude and cold northern regions, there is a large temperature difference between day and night, and low temperatures can easily cause the trachea to become hard and brittle, the gas storage cylinder to freeze, and the valve body to become stuck. Conventional maintenance cannot meet the low temperature requirements, and it is necessary to replace the cold resistant rubber hose and anti freezing drying tank in advance, increase daily drainage inspections, and do a good job of air circuit insulation. At the same time, rubber components such as tires, shock absorbers, and bushings are prone to aging at low temperatures, so it is necessary to increase inspection frequency to avoid driving hazards caused by cold brittleness and cracking. Strengthen the intake system and chassis protection in mining areas and dusty Gobi regions. In areas with large sandstorms, the air has a high dust content, and the speed of air filter blockage is several times faster than that of ordinary roads. Simply replacing the filter element based on regular mileage can easily cause insufficient intake and engine cylinder wear. In terms of maintenance, it is necessary to shorten the inspection and replacement cycle of the air filter, regularly clean the intake pipeline, and install a pre filter device. At the same time, bumpy road conditions with gravel will accelerate the loosening of chassis fasteners and suspension wear. It is necessary to increase the frequency of chassis fastening inspections to reduce chassis looseness faults. Areas with poor oil quality should focus on upgrading the fuel system maintenance. Some developing countries have high levels of impurities and moisture in their oil products, which can easily cause nozzle blockage, oil pump wear, and rapid filter failure. For such environments, it is necessary to shorten the fuel filter replacement cycle, regularly drain and clean the oil circuit, and upgrade high-precision filter components if necessary to protect the engine's precision fuel system and avoid damage to expensive core components. There is no unified standard for overseas freight conditions, and maintenance cannot be done uniformly. Overseas fleets need to abandon the rigid maintenance mindset of fixed mileage and flexibly adjust maintenance projects and cycles based on local climate, road conditions, and fuel quality. Tailored and refined maintenance can accurately avoid vehicle damage caused by the environment, reduce sudden failures and downtime losses, maximize the service life of trucks, and enable vehicles to maintain efficient and stable operation under different overseas working conditions.
