Regarding the inspection of the vehicle upon arrival at the port, which positions of the chassis rubber parts should be inspected with emphasis. After long-distance sea transportation, the whole vehicle is prone to accelerated aging and cracking of rubber components due to salt spray and bumps. Many hidden damages are not easily detected at the time of opening the box, and leakage and abnormal noise faults occur quickly after being put into operation on the construction site. The overseas parts procurement cycle is long, and it is essential to inspect the chassis rubber parts during the port acceptance stage. Firstly, priority should be given to inspecting the rubber components of the suspension system, with a focus on the steel plate spring liner, rubber buffer rubber at both ends of the shock absorber, and thrust rod rubber sleeve. Observe whether there are cracks, bulges, or delamination on the surface of the rubber sleeve, and check whether there is separation between the rubber and the metal skeleton. Gently press with your hand. If the rubber loses its elasticity and falls off when pressed, it indicates that it has aged and failed. Damaged rubber sleeves can directly cause abnormal driving noise, wheel alignment deviation, and exacerbate abnormal tire wear. Next, inspect the rubber components of various pipelines, brake air hose, and outer rubber sheath of hydraulic oil pipe, and carefully check whether there are cracks, bubbles, or local hardening on the pipe wall. Sea salt spray is prone to corrode the surface of rubber, and the bends in pipelines are high-risk areas. Even small cracks can cause air and oil leakage due to pressure changes after driving, directly affecting the safety of braking and hydraulic systems. Also, check the sealing ring and dust ring of the pipeline joint to see if there is any compression deformation or missing parts. Once the sealing ring is damaged, slow leakage may occur. The rubber parts of the steering system cannot be omitted, and the dust cover of the steering rod ball joint is the key. After the dust cover cracks, sea cement sand enters the inside of the ball joint, quickly wears down the internal lubrication structure, and the steering clearance increases in a short period of time, posing a major driving hazard. During acceptance, check for any holes or looseness in the dust cover, and whether the clamp has come off. In addition, check the buffer rubber block of the frame, which is the limit rubber block of the main beam. If the rubber block breaks or collapses, the frame will directly hit hard during heavy load bumps, causing impact noise and even component deformation. At the same time, pay attention to the supporting rubber pad in the middle of the transmission shaft and observe whether the rubber cracks or delaminates. Attention should be paid to the acceptance process. There is no need to worry excessively about a small amount of rust on the surface of rubber parts, but if the rubber itself hardens, cracks, or peels, it must be marked and replaced. Many inspection personnel only focus on the frame and paint surface, ignoring flexible accessories such as rubber parts. These parts have hidden appearance problems and can cause sudden failures on the road, resulting in high maintenance and downtime costs. Overseas arrival inspection, checking each item in the order of suspension, pipeline, steering, and buffer rubber blocks, with a focus on inspecting bending and compression parts, confirming that the rubber elasticity is intact, without cracking or delamination, and replacing non-conforming parts in advance to avoid sudden failures after vehicle delivery to customers, reduce post sales disputes, and ensure stable operation of the fleet.
