What are the workmanship details to pay attention to when purchasing export dump trucks and cargo box hinges. Overseas construction site dump trucks frequently lift and unload materials, and the hinges of the cargo boxes continue to bear impact loads. Many vehicles experience premature failures such as worn axles, cracked welds, and sagging rear doors, which are mostly caused by neglecting the details of hinge workmanship during the procurement stage. Especially for export vehicles, the after-sales maintenance parts supply cycle is long, and the selection and inspection must be rigorous. Firstly, check the material and forming process. High quality heavy-duty hinges are made of one-piece forged high-strength steel, rather than simple stamping of ordinary steel plates. The internal structure of the forged parts is uniform, impact resistant, and not easy to crack. The thickness of the page cannot be reduced by theft. The pin shaft is made of quenched and tempered steel, matched with wear-resistant lining. Ordinary thin steel plate hinges are easily deformed under repeated impact from stone materials. Secondly, the focus is on inspecting the welding workmanship. The weld seam between the hinge base and the cargo box is a weak point under stress. A good weld seam is full, continuous, and free of porosity and slag inclusion. The weld foot height meets the standard, and the welding area is pre treated with rust removal. Poor quality products have intermittent and virtual welds, and are prone to tearing from the weld after lifting and vibration. Many overseas construction site accidents are caused by the detachment of hinge bases. Then look at the pin shaft, bushing, and lubrication structure. The qualified hinge is equipped with grease fittings for easy regular maintenance, and the bushing is made of wear-resistant bronze material to reduce direct metal friction. The diameter of the shaft should match the load level, and the clearance control should be reasonable. If the clearance is too large, the rear door will shake and lift out of sync, while if it is too small, it is easy to get stuck. During the procurement process, manual testing was conducted to ensure smooth opening and closing without any noticeable looseness, and without any jamming or abnormal noise. Anti corrosion treatment cannot be ignored either. Export vehicles must undergo salt spray during sea transportation and rainwater erosion on construction sites. The hinge surface must be treated with phosphating, spraying or hot-dip galvanizing, and the surface coating must be uniform without any leakage. Bare steel parts will rust during sea transportation and quickly become stuck upon arrival at the port. We also need to check the design of the reinforcement ribs. The hinge body under heavy load conditions has reinforcement ribs, which can disperse the impact of unloading. Simple hinges without reinforcement structures are prone to twisting and deformation under long-term heavy load. Finally, check the installation alignment accuracy, ensure that the left and right hinge holes are consistent, the rear door seams are even after assembly, and there is no lateral deviation of the cargo box when lifting. Many customers only focus on the thickness of the bottom plate of the cargo box and underestimate small components such as hinges. In the later stage, the hinges are damaged, and the rear door is stuck and cannot be unloaded normally, resulting in direct downtime and losses. When purchasing export dump trucks, it is not enough to only look at the appearance, but also to verify the details of hinge forging, welding seams, pin shaft bushings, corrosion prevention, etc. on site. Combined with the target market load capacity and material type selection, it is necessary to reduce the maintenance pressure of overseas fleets from the source and ensure long-term stable operation of vehicles.
