The engraving parameters on the nameplate must be completely consistent with the customs declaration certificate. Any data discrepancy will trigger a customs inspection warning. The nameplate must be fully engraved with VIN frame number, chassis model, engine model, engine number, emission standards, total mass, rated load, date of manufacture, manufacturer and other information. Some merchants have widened and raised the cargo boxes without authorization to meet the heavy load requirements of customers, and the nameplates still use the original factory load parameters. The comparison values of the customs on-site weighing do not match, and the entire batch of vehicles will be detained at the port for inspection. For export nameplates, it is recommended to unify the industrial bold font and follow the original factory format for VIN coding layout. Vehicles that apply for SONCAP and PVOC certification also need to have the corresponding certification filing number engraved on their nameplate. Even if the certification is complete without the number, customs clearance cannot be smooth.
A small nameplate is the vehicle's identification document. To avoid customs clearance losses, as long as the material, parameters, language adaptation, standardized installation, and anti-counterfeiting layout are controlled, and the three codes of the actual vehicle, nameplate, and document are integrated, the vast majority of customs risks caused by nameplates can be avoided. For large quantities of dump trucks sent to the African engineering market, standardized production of nameplates can effectively improve customs clearance efficiency and reduce foreign trade operation losses.
